The Islamic Foundation of Lincoln was founded in 1986 as a non-profit religious organization in the capital city of Lincoln, that follows the Quran and Ahl Al-Sunnah. The mosque is owned by the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT). IFL is the oldest mosque in the state of Nebraska. Since the mosque plays a vital role in the lives of Muslims, many incoming Muslim immigrants established residence in Lincoln to be near and around the mosque. Our vision is to be the leading mosque in Nebraska by continuing to provide Islamic guidance and services based on the Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) to the Lincoln community and surrounding areas.
